The Giant's Blessing: An Icy Adventure

In the coastal town of Saltfork, there is an annual procession and party of faith, hope and charity. It finishes with a renewal ceremony of The Giant’s Blessing that protects the town. Will your adventurers take part in the celebration? A roleplay and battle story featuring a celestial cloud giant and a lot of icy undead! 

A 3-4-hour adventure with encounter variations for Tier 1, 2 and 3 parties

This adventure is a non-denominational fun winter adventure that's great to play for the holidays or any time of year. Playing on the very real nature of gods in Dungeons and Dragons and the fun of battling hoards, this adventure will appeal to those who like both roleplay and encounters.

The adventure takes place in 5 parts:

• The Celebration: Starting any time of year (I like to use springtime so the icy mountains are a surprise), the adventurers arrive in Saltfork, meet the locals, and join the celebration by visiting shrines around town
• The Giant's Stone: At a huge ancient monolith, a portal is opened and the party can enter an icy mountain landscape in the past and meet their celestial cloud giant guide
• Test of Faith: Climbing the mountain, the adventurers find a hidden stone room where they must part with a symbol of their faith or power
• Test of Charity: Leaving the stone room, the party mysteriously exits into a dank marsh and meets some needy creatures, including a lone starving sea hag
• Test of Hope: Back in the snowy valley, suddenly a horde of undead rises out of the sea. And the adventurers must fight to survive while also watching a misty reflection of the same invasion happening in current-day Saltfork!
